About Evelyn Walberg

Evelyn Walberg I am both a PAINTER AND a PHOTOGRAPHER. My painting style is Contemporary, Modern and often just plain fun. It goes well with any and every home decor style - something for everyone! I hope to make folks smile and maybe even laugh a little, especially with my old photos. When people see my creations, I want them to FEEL the energy of each of my paintings or photos, not to just see the images. I LOVE the variety of colors, shapes and textures in the world around me and I endeavor to bring my love of these things into my art. But mostly I believe art should be fun, fun for me to create and fun for those who own or view my works. I paint in multiple mediums (oils, acrylics, watercolors, mixed media) and on an array of surfaces using a combination of brushes and pallet knives in my artwork. My art is a modern interpretation of some traditional subject matter such as animals, florals, seascapes, landscapes and still lifes, but also includes everyday objects. My choices of surfaces vary from stretched canvases to canvas-frame pairs, wood, fabric and found objects. My works are bright and bold, and sometimes even whimsical but almost always colorful and enjoyable.
